Terms of use

The ground rules.

Last updated 15 September 2026. These terms cover storygram.io, Storygram Quest and Buy Me Books (together, "the services"), provided by Storygram Ltd, company number 16176524, registered office c/o The Accountancy Partnership, Suite 5, 5th Floor, City Reach, 5 Greenwich View Place, London E14 9NN. The full terms for Quest itself are published in the app at quest.storygram.io/terms and take precedence for the app.

Who can use the services

Accounts are for adults (18 or over) who are the parent or carer of the children they add. By creating an account you confirm that you are responsible for those children and are happy for their reading to be recorded as described in our privacy policy. Children use the apps under a grown-up's account and supervision; they don't hold accounts of their own.

Pilot software

Storygram Quest is in pilot testing. It will change, sometimes without notice, and things will occasionally break. We'll do our best to keep your family's reading data safe and intact, but during the pilot we can't promise uninterrupted service, and we may reset or restructure features as we learn. Please tell us what's wrong through the Feedback button; that's what the pilot is for.

Your account

  • Keep your sign-in email secure and your family PIN private.
  • Only add children you are responsible for, and only invite adults you trust to share the family.
  • Don't use the services to store anything unlawful or to harm anyone, and don't try to access other families' data or interfere with the services.

Paying for premium features

The core of each app is free. Optional premium features are sold as a monthly or annual subscription through Stripe. You can cancel at any time and the subscription runs to the end of the period you've paid for. If you're a consumer in the UK you have a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription for a refund, unless you've asked us to start the service straight away and have used it.

Books and content

Book titles, authors and covers shown in the services come from public metadata sources and their publishers, and remain their owners' property. Public-domain texts we make available are just that: public domain. Our artwork, characters, names and the design of the services belong to Storygram; please don't copy them for other products.

Ending things

You can delete your account whenever you like by emailing us, and we'll remove your family's data as set out in the privacy policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk, and we'll tell you why.

Liability

We provide the services with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, that were not caused by us, or that are business losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

The legal bits

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts there have jurisdiction, though if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there. If we change these terms materially we'll tell you in the apps and give you time to stop using them if you don't agree. Questions: hello@storygram.org.
